Efficient Ammonia Desulfurization Technology (EADS) Provides a Versatile Process for SO2 and PM Removal

Efficient Ammonia Desulfurization Technology (EADS) Provides a Versatile Process for SO2 and PM Removal

OVERVIEW

REQUEST FOR ACCESS FORM BELOW

The webinar will help you make informed decisions about alternatives to conventional Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems applied to your specific boiler and flue gas treatment requirements.

An ammonia-based flue gas desulfurization process presents an economic and advanced technological alternative to traditional treatment of utility and industrial boiler flue gases.  Unlike limestone wet FGD, the Efficient Ammonia-Based Desulfurization (EADS) process developed by Jiangnan Environmental Technology Inc. (JET Inc.), meets the most stringent air quality regulations. The EADS process also generates no wastewater or solid waste streams, while generating a salable ammonium sulfate fertilizer by-product.  As a green technology, the EADS process also does not require the addition of water treatment chemicals, such as soda ash or lime used in conventional FGD wastewater treatment processes, which also reduces operating costs and environmental compliance expense and risk.

Now offering Certificates of Completion for all our Webinars.

The basic EADS absorber can achieve SO2 emissions of <17 PPMV and PM emissions of <1.18 lbs/mmscf.  An enhanced EADS process coupling optimization of spray density, enhanced liquid-gas distribution, with ultrasonic particle agglomeration mechanisms can further reduce SO2 emissions to <12 PPMV and PM emissions to <0.30 lbs/mmscf.  The green EADS technology also delivers a 25-35% reduction in operating costs with no additional carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

In this informative webinar, Don Hamilton, Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing Operations for JET Inc., will discuss how the patented EADS technology can enable power plants and industrial boiler operators to meet today’s most stringent and ever increasing environmental regulations and achieve Zero-Liquid-Discharge. Topics presented will include:

  • Operating conditions and process economics for the EADS technology compared to conventional limestone-gypsum wet FGD

    • Reducing Operating Expense (OPEX)

  • The world’s largest ammonia-based FGD project installed on 10 boilers at Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group’s 4 Mtpa coal-to-liquid plant (10 X 200 MW)

  • Opportunities for coal flexibility

  • Reduction of GHG footprint

  • Salability of Ammonium Sulfate, Capital & Lifecycle Cost of Ownership and Payback

Attendees can ask questions which will be covered during the Q&A session of the webinar.

Who Should Attend:

  • Power Project Developers

  • Plant Station Managers

  • Operations Managers

  • Engineering Managers

  • Plant Environmental Engineers
