Nathan Schindler | US Technical Sales Manager | Evonik Corporation

Nathan Schindler has twenty years of experience in all aspects of the combustion and air pollution emission control technologies, including sales, contract negotiation, estimating, project management, product development, legal issues, and field service solutions.  Nathan has a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from Fairfield University.  He also has law degree from UConn with a certificate in Intellectual Property Studies.  Prior to working for Evonik Corporation, he served for six years as the Aftermarket Sales Manager/Product Manager for Peerless Mfg. Co. / Combustion Components Associates, Inc.  He was responsible for sales of all combustion upgrades, retrofits, services, and spares within the division. Previously responsible for commercial development of fuel conversion market, including customer development, proposal drafting, estimating, project oversight, and product development.  He began his career at Combustion Components Associates in, Inc in 2002 as a design engineer and previously worked for John Zink Co., LLC as a project engineer.

  

Florin Popovici | Principal Consultant | Emission Control Engineering Consulting SRL CR

Florin Popovici is an international Emission Control Technology Consultant. He was born in Bucharest, Romania, where he completed his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering Degree with the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest. In 1991 he joined Eskom South Africa as an engineer in charge with the emission control equipment at Arnot Power Station. In 1995, he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management with the University of South Africa. From 1998 to 2004, he coordinated the bag filter research and services group at Eskom Technology Services International in South Africa and from 2004 to 2006, he was in charge with the engineering services at Beier Albany, finalizing new and upgrade projects related to bag houses. Since 2006, he operates as an Emission Control Technology Consultant, assisting various companies in the filtration fibers, filter materials and bag filter technology. He is a registered professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa. Florin is a regular presenter at international events: VGB – Flue Gas Cleaning Europe, APC Reinhold – USA, Dry Scrubber Users Association – USA, IEEE – USA, Coal Gen Europe, Cement Filtration Round Tables in South Africa and Tanzania, Coal Fired Boiler Filtration Round Table Australia, etc.
