Why you should consider Power Management System (PMS) for your Industrial Applications?

ABB, Webcast Experts, PMS

OVERVIEW

Energy is vital for every industry, so is energy management. Industry’s dependence on scarce energy resources, the volatility of energy costs, the growing environmental consciousness and more stringent legislation are just a few of the factors influencing the global drive for improved energy management.

Now offering Certificates of Completion for all our Webinars.

Traditionally, the integration of process automation and power automation into the same control system would be considered as costly barrier, leading to separate process and power control architectures. Today, electrical integration eliminates this barrier and supports creation of a single automation environment that unifies the control of process related equipment as well as protection, control and monitoring of substation equipment and power transmission and distribution. With a unified PMS, industries can perform:

  • Multi-source power management, including load sharing and fast load shedding

  • Millisecond analysis of electrical upsets and root cause analysis of events

  • Off-line simulation of the impacts of electrical network control operations

  • Efficient energy management

Most of the industries do not invest in a full fledge power management system due to additional investment involved. But, do they consider the cost of black outs and energy optimization while making this decision?

Register for the Webinar to Learn

  • How PMS can prevent blackouts and disturbances of your operations – while at the same time control energy costs, enhance safety and mitigate both environmental and health impact?

  • How PMS effectively provides features of fast load shedding, load sharing, active and reactive power control, demand control – import/ export, PF control and synchronization?

  • Benefits of unified process automation and power automation.

  • Case Studies showcasing impact of PMS.
